The Judicial ProcessA criminal legal procedure usually starts with one or more person(s) being arrested by a law enforcement officer. If the grand jury accuses the criminal with a serious crime, the criminal will be put before a judge. The individual gets a defendant that can defend their case. The case is then brought to trial. The jury decides whether the charges be dismissed or the criminal get set to a sentence. Sentences can include jail-time, a fine, or even execution.
